  • Calculator
    A graphic calculator is an important tool that will be used in this course. Students are expected to have a working calculator for each test and exam. No calculator swapping is permitted during examination periods.

    Exams
    There will be three in-class exams and a final exam. The in-class exams are scheduled on Monday, Sept. 17; Monday, Oct. 22; and Monday, Nov. 19. TThis class has a common final. The final exam is on Tuesday, Dec. 11 from 1:00-3:00pm at ENR2, N120. Each in-class exam will be worth 100 points and the final exam worth 200 points.

    Homework
    I am not using Webassign for homework! Homework Assignment will be assigned regularly and be posted on my Web-page. You are responsible for doing assigned problems in a timely manner. However, homework are NOT going to be collected. Instead, there will be a weekly quiz (At the very beginning of the first class EVERY WEEK, one or more problems in 15 minutes). Quiz problems will come directly from the homework assignment for the lectures of the previous week. A final score equivalent to one test, 100 points, will be assigned.

    Grades
    The total points available on exams and quiz are 600. 540 points (90%) for A; 480 points (80%) for B; 420 points (70%) for C; 360 points (60%) for D.

    Attendance
    Students are expected to attend every scheduled class, and to be familiar with the University Class Attendance policy as it appears in General Catalog. It is the student's responsibility to keep informed of any announcements, syllabus adjustments or policy changes made during scheduled class time.
