The behavior of the system was analyzed numerically.
Specifically,
the bifurcation analysis tools in XPP-Auto were used to get an overall
picture of the behavior of the
system with respect to the injection control parameter 
(Fig [8]), while trajectories in phase space were
computed with DsTool.
