OPEN A CCIT UNIX ACCOUNT

To do so, use the web browser and visit ccit (there's a link on the
class home page) and look for new account information. Otherwise, use
telnet, if you know how to use it:

        telnet account.arizona.edu

and follow the instructions on the screen.

FOR WINDOWS STUFF:

CCIT has a number of open access windows platforms (see CCIT link on
class main page). You do not need an account to use these.

You may also use the Math Dept open access windows platforms, located in
Rm 226 Math. Since these are heavily oversubscribed, you may wind up
competing with folks from other classes, but in principle, you will be
able to use these. No sign up is required. In order to keep your own
computer files you can either use diskettes for storage or you can
always buy a zip disk.

class meeting.
