About Me

  • I have more than a decade of teaching experience on both the university and high school levels.

  • My B.S. in Mathematics Education and M.S. in Applied Mathematics were earned from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

  • After teaching high school for a few years, I decided to pursue a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Baylor University in Waco, Texas.

  • My dissertation was "Conventional and Asymptotic Stabilities of Decomposed Compact Methods for Solving Highly Oscillatory Wave Problems" under the advisement of Professor Qin Sheng.

  • Following graduate school, I worked with mentor Professor Moysey Brio as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona.

Fun Facts

  • I am originally from Louisiana.

  • I have a Scottish Terrier (pictured above) named Duncan.

  • I enjoy growing fruits, vegetables, and herbs in my garden.

  • I love a good DIY project.

  • I've also been known to sew on occasion.
