On the Existence of a Global Attractor for an Electroconvection Model
We consider an electroconvection model describing the evolution of a surface charge density interacting with a two-dimensional incompressible fluid forced by electrical forces and body forces. We study the model in the periodic setting on the two-dimensional torus and we prove the existence and uniqueness of global regular solutions. We define the solution map associated with the model and we investigate its properties. We show that a global attractor exists and reduces to a single point in the absence of body forces in the fluid.
