Servingness in Action: A Culturally Affirming Precalculus College Curriculum in Tucson Schools
I share aims, features, and design of a novel asset-based, culturally-centering precalculus curriculum grounded in Tucson and the Southwestern US as place and identity. We will explore contexts featured in this dual-enrollment place-based curriculum, and reflect on how a grant-funded partnership between the University, Pima Community College, and Tucson schools is enabling the creation of a dual-enrollment course based on this curriculum to be piloted in Fall 2022 at three TUSD schools.
