Special Talk for Sci Fi fans - all are welcome!

Presenter: André Bormanis, UArizona alum and writer/co-executive producer on the Fox / Hulu television series The Orville
Join the MathCats club on Monday, the 7th of September for this special talk by André Bormanis (uncle to MathCats President Ari Bormanis). The meeting is planned to last an hour. The first 45 minutes will be Andre's talk and then the last 15 minutes are intended for a Q&A.
 
Bio:
 
André Bormanis is a writer and co-executive producer on the Fox / Hulu television series The Orville. His television career began in 1993 when he was hired to be the science consultant for the final season of Star Trek: The Next Generation.  He continued in that role for Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and Star Trek: Voyager, for which he also wrote a number of stories and scripts.  He became a full-time writer and producer on Star Trek: Enterprise in 2001, and has been a writer / producer on various shows ever since, including the remake of Carl Sagan's Cosmos series, whose third season premieres on Fox on September 22nd.

André serves on the Board of Directors of the Griffith Observatory "Friend of the Observatory," a nonprofit fundraising organization.  He holds a BS in physics from The University of Arizona, and received an MA in Science, Technology and Public Policy from The George Washington University under a NASA Space Grant fellowship.
