In this talk, I will introduce QP-chiralization, a framework for studying chiral analogues of structures arising in Poisson–Lie theory. I will first explain how classical -matrices give rise to Poisson vertex algebra structures and how the Feigin–Frenkel center can be used to construct integrable hierarchies. I will then reinterpret classical -matrices as Maurer–Cartan elements in the variational QP formalism. Finally, I will discuss some recent progress in joint work with Noriaki Ikeda.
