You can check to see if the .NET Framework 1.1 is installed by clicking Start on your Windows desktop, selecting Control Panel, and then double-clicking the Add or Remove Programs icon. When that window appears, scroll through the list of applications. If you see "Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1" listed, it is installed.
Alternatively, you can check to see if the .NET Framework 1.1 is installed by downloading the file CheckNET.zip, unzipping it, and running it.
If the .NET Framework 1.1 is not installed, then there are two different ways to install it.
Some have mistakenly downloaded the ".NET Framework SDK Version 1.1", which is the Software Development Kit and is 106 MB. You do NOT need this.

To install ICS-SAR, unzip InstallICS-SAR.zip and run InstallICS-SAR.exe. You will be asked where you want to save the ICS-SAR, and whether you want a shortcut created on the Desktop. ICS-SAR does not make any changes to your operating system and uninstalls cleanly. It can be run from a hard drive, a zip drive, or a thumb drive (assuming the files created by ICS-SAR can be saved to folder that contains the application).
If you find any bugs, please cut and paste any error messages, describe what you were doing at the time, and email this information, together with the ICS-SAR version number, to me: David Lovelock at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you.
