bring your book and notes.
There will be problem sessions:
- Saturday with Alex at 1pm
- Wednesday (Dec. 13) 2pm-5pm (2-4 with Prof. Glickenstein) in Math 402.
Exam 2
Exam 2 will cover selected material from: power series solutions, Frobenius method, solution of the
Laplace equation on a rectangle, boundary value problems (2nd order only),
Fourier sine series, complete Fourier series, vector products and
differentiation of vectors and scalars (including div, grad, curl),
geometry of space curves, line integrals/potential functions, surface
integrals, divergence theorem.
Exam 1
Exam 1 will cover Chapter 1, Chapter 2, and possibly the beginning of Chapter 4 (just power series and radius of convergence). The preceptors are running a study session Sunday Sept 24 at 1:00 PM in the basement of the Science and Engineering Library. You may contact them (phone and email listed above) if you have any questions.
You will be given the following table of Laplace transforms: table.
