SWRIMS HIGH SCHOOL WORKSHOPS

Public Key Cryptography for High School Teachers

Saturday, 10 April 1999, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Mathematics Building

Workshop schedule:

In public key cryptography, two parties are able to exchange secrets during a public conversation. Sound impossible? It's not! This type of cryptography is used a great deal between computers on the internet. This workshop will introduce you to programming your TI calculator and will review some number theory that you probably thought had no real-life applications!

This workshop is being organized by Pat Deeren and Jennifer Smith, with help from Aaron Ekstrom, Laura Kondek, and Judith Reed.

Due to lack of interest, this workshop has been CANCELLED.
