Lectures

The lectures will be held in the Berger Auditorium (Room 207) of the McClelland building, on the UA campus. Here are directions.

Hotel

The conference hotel is the DoubleTree Hotel Tucson at Reid Park. (This is a change from recent years.) Breakfast is included with your room at the DoubleTree. The hotel is not within reasonable walking distance of campus, but a shuttle service will be available to go between the hotel and the lectures. Please see the directions page for details.

Working sessions

There will be evening working sessions at 7:30 pm on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday evenings. The working sessions will provide students with an opportunity to discuss their projects with the speakers, as well as a chance for everyone to get more details or clarifications from the speakers. Active participation by all participants, whether officially assigned to a project or not, is strongly encouraged. The evening working sessions will take place in Ballroom A,B,C at the Doubletree Hotel. (Though the sessions begin at 7:30 pm, the room is reserved from 6 pm if you wish to get an early start.)

Evening of Arrival

There will be an informal gathering in Ballroom A,B,C of the DoubleTree Hotel on Friday, March 11 from 6 pm to 10 pm.

Registration

Registration for the conference will take place at the Ballroom Foyer at the DoubleTree Hotel on Friday evening to 5 pm to 8 pm, and again on campus from 8 am to 10 am Saturday morning in the area outside of McClelland 207. You can get expense reimbursement forms and pay the registration and banquet fees at these times.

Coffee

Coffee will be available 30 minutes before the lectures start each morning. (Breakfast is included with the rooms at the DoubleTree.) Coffee and snacks will be available during the between-lecture breaks.

Banquet

The conference banquet will be on Wednesday, March 16 at the DoubleTree. The gathering begins at 6:15 (there will be a cash bar). The cost is $20 for participants, thanks to a generous subsidy from the Department of Mathematics, and $40 for guests. Payment will be taken at registration. If you would like to attend, please sign up here no later than Sunday, March 13th. More details can be found on the signup page.

Free Afternoon

The afternoon of Monday, March 14 is a free afternoon. Excursions to Sabino Canyon and the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum are planned. If you would like to participate in one of the excursions, please sign up here no later than Tuesday, March 8.
