Reading Geometry from Eigenfunction Triple Products
We know well that the eigenvalues of the Laplacian on a manifold do not determine its geometry. Its \emph{triple product constants}, which encode the algebraic structure of the eigenfunctions, supply to right missing information to make this recovery possible. In this talk, I will explain how to reconstruct a manifold from its eigenvalues and triple product constants. I will then identify various properties of these constants which characterize interesting geometric features, such as real analyticity or flatness of the metric. This is joint work with Carl Schildkraut and Josef Greilhuber.
