Title: Lagrangian controls for crowd management
Abstract: Crowd management can be modeled in several ways, but the classical control paradigm focuses on pointwise or distributed control. Lagrangian control refers to the action limited to a small number of agents of a large group and can be combined with centralized control. For instance, in vehicular traffic, Lagrangian controls can be exerted using a fleet of autonomous vehicles.
We present a few theoretical approaches as well as applications.
