Problem-Solving Scholars

Scholars strengthen problem-solving skills while learning calculus and precalculus at UA, and get dedicated time to meet and interact with experienced  faculty mentors. The program is open to undergraduates who have transferred to UA from Hispanic Serving Community Colleges, and also to first generation college students majoring in STEM.

 

AZ Noyce Mathematics Teaching Scholars Program

The AZ Noyce Scholars Program promotes secondary mathematics teaching as a viable career for mathematics majors. Paid internships are available for undergraduates interested in exploring teaching as a profession. Internship activities include tutoring in middle and high schools, serving as a teaching assistant, leading in an After School program, and teaching in a Summer Algebra Academy. $10,000 Noyce Scholarships are available for juniors and seniors in the Secondary Mathematics Education Program.
